Each month our support meetings will move to a different location to better suit everyone`s needs. The first meeting is to get acquainted with other kidney patients and parents of kidney kids. Each month we will have a different topic. There will be a dialysis, kidney transplant, a nephrology doctor, who will be discussing different treatments and answering any questions you might have. A surgeon will be on hand to help you understand the transplant procedure better, and will also answer any questions that you might have. A nurse or doctor will be present to discuss medications and their side effects and also a transplant coordinator, to discuss what test you need to have done if you plan to be a donor.
